eBikesRated is owned and operated by Lectric eBikes. To provide a comprehensive resource for consumers, Lectric's products are evaluated and included in our rankings alongside competitor e-bikes.

Objective Methodology

We use a strict, data-driven scoring rubric. Our Value and Performance scores are calculated using the exact same formula for every single bike, regardless of the manufacturer. This ensures our results are consistent, repeatable, and rooted in math rather than opinion.

Value Score

This score represents the performance-per-dollar. It is calculated by dividing a bike's Performance Score by its retail price, normalized to a 0–100 scale. This allows riders to see exactly how much capability they are getting for their money.

Performance Score

This score measures a bike's technical capabilities using our standardized sitewide rubric. We assign weighted points based on the motor (wattage and brand), battery (capacity and chemistry), braking system, drivetrain quality, safety certifications, and frame components.

Data Sourcing

To maintain objectivity, all specifications and performance data used in our scoring algorithms are pulled directly from published manufacturer data sheets, user manuals, and official product documentation.

Affiliate Links & Compensation

eBikesRated participates in affiliate marketing programs. This means we may earn a commission when users click on "buy now" links or complete a purchase through retailers linked on our site. These commissions do not influence the mathematical scoring or ranking of any e-bike.

Editorial Safeguards

To maintain the integrity of our scoring system, eBikesRated enforces a strict separation between the data evaluation team and Lectric eBikes' general marketing department. Scores are generated strictly based on our published mathematical rubric and raw manufacturer data, ensuring that no internal personnel can artificially alter a bike's final score or ranking.
