How we score bikes

Two scores. No opinions. Every bike is evaluated on the same objective criteria every time.

VALUE SCORE

Performance per dollar

Performance Score ÷ price. A bike that scores 90 and costs $1,000 beats a bike that scores 90 and costs $3,000 - every time.

PERFORMANCE SCORE

Points for every spec that matters

Power, range, safety, and components are scored with transparent weighted criteria.

VALUE SCORE FORMULA: Perf. Score ÷ Price Normalized to a 0-100 scale

Scoring Rules

Safety floor: Must pass UL 2271
Recall history: Disqualifier
US customer support: Required

Performance Score Components

Motor (brand & wattage): up to 20 pts
Battery capacity & chemistry: up to 20 pts
Braking system: up to 15 pts
Drivetrain quality: up to 15 pts
Safety certifications: up to 5 pts
Frame & components: up to 10 pts

How to submit requests for bike reviews

Visit Find My Match and submit your requested model through the request form. Our team reviews submissions and prioritizes models in upcoming scoring cycles based on rider demand and data availability.
